团圆犯

Sony Ericsson Elm's camera test. (5 megapixels)
#1 Test on paper under normal lighting condition.

Auto mode.

Document mode. Much clearer ain't it.

Taken by my crappy HTC Wildfire's camera. (5 mp)
Maybe I've forgotten to wipe the lens clean.. -.-

#2 Close up on the paper.
Auto mode.

Document mode. Auto flash.

Document mode. Flash disabled.
It will inevitably light up its flash to focus and then off the second it captures the image.
Now that's an annoying feature to me.

HTC Wildfire. Auto mode.

I still think that Sony make the best cameras on phones. Haven't gotten the chance to compare with Nokia cameras with Carl Zeiss lens though.

Okay, this is to show my disappointed with my HTC Wildfire's camera, despite having ISO settings etc. All the more reason for me to buy a camera? HAHA.

Anyways, if you cared to observe the 'poster' which I took, its actually a small event which my creative hostelmates organized. A 'reunion'  dinner for all of us. Yayy! I can't wait. Hehe. :)

Cameras oh Cameras

Have I ever mentioned before that I love photography? I've been craving for a camera of my own for a long time... >.<

Well, now I'm planning to get one. I'm not getting DSLR's cause they're extremely pricey. So, I'm thinking I should get the point and shoot cameras or also known as digital compact cameras for a start. I don't know much about cameras, but here are 3 of which I am most interested in so far. Can someone please give me your advice on which one I should get? I need help!
Canon S95.
The newest model.
RM1399.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3.
Not the newest but yeah, affordable for me.
It has manual controls, now that's an interesting offer. ;)
RM1349.

Panasonic Lumix TZ10.
This is a new model.
RM1499.

*Details of prices are extracted from here.

You gotta admit, Panasonic Lumix cameras look so much better than the Canon's. However, I'm more interested on what's under the hood. Oh well, more researches need to be done..

I need expert advice!

Phone Swap

Swapped my HTC Wildfire with a Sony Ericsson Elm for few days. I'm just dying to feel how its like to be able to press solid keys again. Lol.

Sony Ericsson Elm.

The first thing I notice is its curvy shape, made to fit the palm of your hand.

And its auto brightness, increasing its brightness automatically when being at brighter places. Handy feature to decrease energy consumption.

I don't really like the keypads though. Its quite noisy. Lol.

More on the phone here.

That's all for today's post. Boring one I know..

Goodnight peeps. :)

Too Much Heaven

Last month, during the holidays, my family and I paid a trip to my grandma's house. Haven't seen her for quite a long time. Hmm, am glad to find her well, although this granddaughter of hers here never really understood any of her language. Teochew is like alien gibberish to me. Sometimes I can grasp a few words here and there, but most of the time, I'm no better than being deaf. Lol. Someone care to tutor me? :)

Okay, just wanna share with you guys some pictures I took during my trip there. We went to the beach with relatives, its some sort of a 'kampung-ish' beach, located just at the end of the paddy fields.

Just fyi, my grandma's place is at Tg. Piandang, which, I'm sure nobody has ever heard of it. Its somewhere to the north of Perak, near to the borders between Perak and Penang.

This is the kind of road we took to get to the beach.
Kampung road. I don't even think that its consider as a road. Lol.

And at the other end, is this! :)

Rocky beach.
And they say you can spot the Penang bridge from this angle at night. :)

Watching sunset...
Magnificent view.

And in a few seconds' time, the sun is gone.

These are one of those moments that takes your breath away.
夕阳无限好, 只是近黄昏..

I'm Back!

Hey, its been quite a while. Pardon me for my laziness, the reason why I've been neglecting my blog. Oh well. Hmm, life's been good so far, and of course, there were ups and downs at times. Sat my exams in December, which I have no clue at all on the outcome in March (results). May god bless me. >.<

As of now, I'm in my last sem at Sunway University(its a university now) already. Taking 2 papers, P6(advanced taxation) and P7(advance audit and assurance). How time flies huh.

Oh yeah, came back to report on my newly acquired phone, got it in November last year. Turning me into quite a phone geek now. Lol. (blame the smartphones.. :P)

Okay I'm gonna start talking about phones here, so just ignore it if it doesn't interest you. ;)

HTC Wildfire.

Gotten myself a deal at RM 1199, with 2 years warranty, free 8 GB external memory card and a bluetooth headset. :)
Running on Android 2.2 platform.
(a phone operating system manufactured by Google)

You see, 3 months ago, I have no idea at all what Android is, and HTC phones? No clue at all. Funny how I've gotten myself a HTC Android phone then. Haha.

Among my considerations are,

Sony Ericsson's Xperia X8.
Also running on Android platform, but its on 2.1 version.

Which I didn't choose because of its poor camera functionality and SE's inexperience in manufacturing android phones. The device having a plastic feel to it, feels cheap and yeah, their phones' market price drops rather alarmingly in a short period of time. Aha, its proven now, it was RM1300 then, and it dropped to around RM800 now. Lol.

BlackBerry Bold 9700.

BlackBerry phones are famous for their social networking experience. Its 'BBM' function, an instant messenger, capable of sending texts, pictures, video, music files to anyone that's using a BB at any parts of the world for free. Now that's the bomb there, but, I don't have much friends using a BB, and this phone is pricey for me. (RM1600) Having a QWERTY keyboard will be nice though. ;)

There're new ones out in the market now, the BB Torch, and BB Bold 9780. Check it out if you're interested! :)

Nokia N97 mini.
Running on Symbian operating system. (Nokia's)

Sleek looking phone huh. Dad had been urging me to buy this one. The price was around RM1200. And I didn't choose this because its quite an old phone, running on the old Symbian os makes it laggy, and I didn't like the user interface. I never liked Nokia phones. Lol.

Samsung Galaxy 5.
Running on Android 2.1 platform.

Its price is relatively cheap as compared to the other phones, around RM800, having slightly lower spec than the HTC Wildfire. In fact, its very cheap, which makes me doubt on its quality and performance. Having no confidence on Samsung phones made me abandon this.

But of course, its a budget smartphone. A phone you should consider if you're limited by $.
-

Okayy, HTC Wildfire it is. Googling and reading reviews had been giving me a bad headache. But yeah, paid off in the end. :)

I might do a review on the phone later on, been exploring the Android features and of course, its market of apps and games too. :D

A Start, An End.

I don't know what to say.
Having so much to tell, and yet words just got caught in my throat.
Who can comprehend all these?

How to correct these. How to ease this pain.
In the end, I'm just another ordinary girl.
I think I need somebody, to save me.

I just need to, go on with life.
And now I'm pretty much stucked.
