Chatime...toxic?

I just watched the eight o'clock news and it seems that the drinks at Chatime are suspected to be carcinogenic, particularly their passion fruit drink. OMG. The news further reported that Chatime had now withdrawn their passion fruit tea from shelf, but they're still continuing business as usual. Investigations are still underway...

Passion Fruit QQ withdrawn from market.

It was confirmed that at Taiwan, their passion fruit drink contained too much 'plastic agents', which if consumed can cause cancer. (source) Chatime branches at Malaysia however, stated that they did not import the ingredients from Taiwan but use locally manufactured ingredients. But as a precautionary measure, that particular drink is withdrawn from market and now being tested by the authorities. (source)

Gosh.. I really hope the other drinks are not affected. :(

A Collection of Morning Shots

Some of the shots taken with my camera, Lumix LX5. I'm excited cause finally I figured out how to make a collage, and I had the software in my laptop all along. What a noobie me. >.<
(By the way, the software is Picasso, by Google. Cheers.)

Study..?

I read from the beginning of the page.
Towards the end I don't remember what I read on top and I had to start over again. And the cycle just goes on and on. -.-

Pro Photographer, Cheap Camera Challenge!

I've been watching DigitalRev's channel on Youtube ever since I bought my camera, in fact, even before that. They do reviews, tests on cameras, and I particularly like the presenter, Kai, Hong Kong guy with a Brittish accent. Haha.

Anyways, as the title would've indicated, a challenge for the professional photographers to take good photos with a random cheap camera. Oh well, this episode, particularly my favourite and I thought I would like to share it here. (Note Mark Chung's Hasselblad, I would like to get my hands on that!) :D

Girls who stay around Sunway area please BEAWARE. Sunday(22/5) evening "Acidman" attack a chinese girl near Sunway Pyramid area. The girl was in her car when she was attacked, now she is in hospital and already blind. Last Saturday(21/5), he attacked a mother and child in SS17, and on the previous Friday morning he attack in Summit.
I wonder if these news are real or not cause can't seem to find them on official news. His motorbike is quite capable of travelling huh. One moment in Shah Alam, an hour later at Summit, the next day at SS17 and another later at Sunway.
Another one,
Dated 26/5
According to PJS9 security guard, Yesterday, 4pm, a Malay girl got splash on the face by Acidman in front of The One Academy (TOA) Mainblock... Today, got people say Acidman is near M block TOA. Be ALERT ALWAYS.
That's so freaking near to Sunway lol. Anyways, I doubt these rumours to be true. They're just being spread in cyberspace without any official confirmation, or maybe the officials are trying to conceal it. Latest attack reported was near Central Market dated 25/5 (link). The splasher is quite keen on travelling I see, originally from Klang Valley, then to KL and etc..

Anyways, better be cautious than be sorry later. Bring a bottle of water out whenever possible, avoid walking alone and be cautious of Indians on motorcycle. Don't roll down the window of your car if you're driving. An umbrella too? Perhaps yes if you're going to use it.

And here's the face of the suspect:
Save the number on your phone as a precautionary measure.

Better just stay home la...

Firm Visit

After studying for almost 3 years at Sunway University, finally, I get to go for a visit to one of the Big Four accounting firms. I guess only the last year's students get this opportunity huh. We were allowed to get a quick look into the offices of the firm, and of course to listen to them advertise how good of an employer they are, blah blah..

A picture with Cai Ling on that day. :)

We went to KPMG, which is the firm on top of my employer list. Lol. We got a warm welcome from them. Nothing much to the place though, normal office environment. Oh and its just next to One-U shopping mall. Well, hopefully I'll get hired there in the future, like the idea of having entertainments near. Hahaha.

You'll see everything when you're in the year of graduating. Lecturers tend to talk about their personal experiences more, you'll learn more about your career, how it is really like in the real world. And to learn how aggressive some of the students are, submitted resumes before we even have our finals. Guess they can't wait to pursue their dream, or maybe its the kiasu-ness around here lol.

The kind of stress when you feel you're lagging behind. Hmmmm. I have important decisions to make, but I don't care yet, I just want a holiday first!

Thor Roarrrs

This is super cute. Haha.

Blockbusters!

2 movies which I watched recently had turned out to be pretty good, having good ratings. Both made it into my favourite list for the year. Hehe. Firstly,

Thor.
The god of thunder.

With a beautiful actress, Natalie Portman. :)

Story originated from Marvel Comics. Thor is a classic superhero movie. Nice CGs, nice effects, good story, and not forgetting Chris' well-built body. Hahaa. Not gonna reveal the story here, you just have to go watch yourself. Hehe.

Next year, there's going to be a movie combining the well known superheroes in a movie called The Avengers. There'll be Thor, Captain America, Iron Man etc casting the movie. In the meantime, I'm anticipating Captain America which will be screening this July.

Main actor, Chris Evans...... >.<

Okay, back to topic, the second movie,

Fast Five.
The fifth sequel of Fast and Furious.

Being previously disappointed with the fourth sequel, I didn't have high hopes for this one. But the story turned out quite well, with much better CG this time. This movie in particular didn't have flashy cars like its predecessors' though, probably because the story doesn't allow it. Oh well, who cares.

Highly action-packed. Few funny gags here and there. Oh and featuring The Rock as well. Lol. Another must watch movie! :)

A Little Too Soon

Just received a grave news.
A friend's father just passed away today...

I recall just a few days ago, she mentioned to me that she wanna graduate and start working soon. To ease the minds of her ol' folks back at home. Who would've known that her father will not live long enough to witness that. How saddening...

May you rest in peace, sir.

And I can't help but to relate it to myself too. We can never know what will happen tomorrow eh?

Sci-Fi Thrillers All The Way

Source Code.

Centered on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown man who later discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train.

Well obviously the train was bombed, everyone died. And this soldier was to relive through the last 8 minutes of a dead man's memory to find out the bomber, with the help of a programme named Source Code. And when he failed, he'd be sent back again, for 8 minutes, using trial and error basis. Somewhere along the way, he fell for a girl in the train and . . .

This is not a story about time-travelling nor changing the past. This soldier was in a mission to find out who's the bomber and to prevent future bombings.

Overall, this movie has a good idea on its plot. Good story. Keeps me thinking. But the ending does not really make sense, which, is a disappointment to me. Anyways, its worth a watch. Keeps you on the verge of your seat throughout the whole movie. Haha. ;)

Limitless

What would you do, if you have a pill that can let your brain operate at 100% capacity?

Well, this movie is basically about that pill, a top-secret drug, and this man, Eddie. On the assumption that we only use 20% of your brain capacity, that pill, as the movie title whould've hinted, will unlock your mind, making everything limitless. Sounds cool huh?

Ever imagined yourself to be super-smart? Being a perfect version of yourself?

This guy was a writer who seemed to be unsuccessful, poor, having the haggard appearance at the beginning of the movie. He then stumbled upon the pill, and you can guess the rest. Climbing to the top, only to realise certain dark side of things. . .

Again, the ending sucks. I hate it when they put off a stupid ending for a good story. Ahh and the leading actor, Bradley Cooper is really good looking. Nice effects in the movie as well. Another movie worth a watch. :)

I guess Sci-Fi thrillers are my thing eh? Hahh.
